The Olympics-themed Guardian Games event is returning to Destiny 2 on April 20, and it’s free for all players to participate in. In this event, players of the three different Destiny classes — Titan, Hunter, and Warlock — compete by completing special quest cards and triumphs to see who can accrue the most medals by the end of the event on May 9. The class that has the most medals by the end of the event wins special first place class items as well as a trophy displayed on the tower for the rest of the year. The other classes receive second place silver and third place bronze class items based on where they scored in the ranking. All players can earn the Heir Apparent Exotic machine gun and its catalyst, as well as a new Exotic Sparrow speeder.
In addition to everything players can win in the event, there are also several new cosmetic items available in Eververse, Destiny 2’s microtransactions store. These include pieces of glowing class armor, special Guardian Games-themed Ghost Shells, a new ship, and more. Make sure to check out the official event page for full details.
